Gregg R. Albers, MD FAAFP

 
Dr. Gregg Albers Dr. Albers has 28 years of practice experience as a board certified family physician, addiction medicine, and a certified Medical Review Officer. He has directed Liberty University Health Services for 27 years, and began Light Medical in 1987. His practice includes comprehensive medical care and consultations for adults and children in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. He has authored four books and numerous articles about healthcare, politics and education, and has spoken across the country at national and local meetings. Dr. Albers has experience in outpatient psychiatry, wound care, geriatric care, sports medicine, and occupational health. He is certified in both family medicine and addiction medicine, is the medical director of Pathways, an alcohol and drug treatment program, and does daily medical consults for child psychiatry. Dr. Albers is the acting Chairman for the Liberty Godparent Foundation, the Vice Chairman for the Liberty Christian Academy Board, has taught DLP classes at Liberty University, and is involved with the music ministry of Thomas Road Baptist Church. After the loss of our beloved nurse practitioner, Ruth Brooks, Dr. Albers started and continues to operate the Ruth Brooks Free Clinic, a ministry of Thomas Road Baptist Church. He and his wife Andrea have four children 30 to 22 years old.

Melissa Tucker, RN FNP

 
Melissa Tucker Ms. Tucker graduated from the University of Virginia in May 2011 and is a boarded Family Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has worked an RN at Virginia Baptist Hospital labor and delivery, and at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA. She as been awarded the "Virginia Nurses' Association Award in 2007, and received the Mary Marshall Nursing Scholarship for her nursing program.
